Fibres & Animal Hair
Animal hair allergies affect the breathing and the skin, with symptoms such as itching, redness, conjunctivitis or hives. They can also trigger or worsen an atopic dermatitis flare-up. If the allergens are breathed in, they can trigger allergic rhinitis or asthma symptoms in sensitised people.

Allergies to pets with fur are the most common. Pet allergens (from saliva, dander, etc.), can collect on furniture and other surfaces, this increases the risk of having a reaction as one does not necessarily have to be exposed to the pet literally, you could just be in the same environment and have some form of a reaction. Having a pet allergy is the result of an over-sensitive immune system. This means that the body reacts to harmless proteins in the pet’s urine, saliva etc. People who have pets may find that they have symptoms of an allergy to animals, in which case this test is perfect so you have a clear understanding of which animals to avoid.
